Lion Hunts: We book 8 hunts from late October to early April. These are 8 and 10 day hunts. In the past we have enjoyed an 80% success rate on our lions. We hunt with top lion hounds and follow the hounds on good, dependable mountain mules. We have 3 packs of 6 hounds so each day the pack is ready for the task.
Coues Deer Hunts: We book 6 coues deer hunts from mid-October to late December. The seven southern counties of Arizona in which we hunt have produced more record book coues deer than all other places in the U.S.A. I have been told by many world-wide hunters that the coues deer is one of the most challenging of all species of deer. Because of this, it has been nicknamed "The Gray Ghost of the Desert." Despite this fact, we are very proud of the success on our coues deer hunts. I have guided over 100 successful kills with my lowest year being 90% kill. We hope you will accept the challenge of hunting this exceptionally smart game animal.
Javelina Hunts: This southwestern game animal travels our country in good huntable numbers. He is a challenge to hunt and a favorite for the bow hunter. This is a real opportunity for a father-son hunt in late February and March. We also book Archery and Junior Only in January. On this hunt we offer great combos for archery coues deer/javelina and lion/javelina.
Antelope Hunts: Arizona Antelope are known for the mass in their horns and length of their prongs, therefore your chance of taking a record book buck is better in Arizona than in the other western states that are known for quantity. Check your record books....we have quality. Bagging one of these heavy-horned Arizona antelope will far outweigh the yearly application paperwork needed to draw a tag. Gun and muzzle-loader hunters will hunt early September. Archery hunters will be mid-August. We are very knowledgeable of what it takes to get this trophy with a bow. Not only have I accomplished this challenge, but I have also had the privilege of helping fellow archers fulfill this dream.
Elk Hunts: Our Rocky Mountain elk archery hunts are second to none when it comes to stalking big bulls or chasing bugles. We do very little sitting of water holes as we desire to play the exciting offensive pursuit with these magnificent animals. It is something that will make even the seasoned hunter's heart skip a beat. We also have archery cow hunts for the young hunters or the archers that want to get in the pines and escape life for a week. Arizona cow elk have excellent draw rates. Let's get out there and "do this hunt!"
Sheep Hunts: I have the good fortune of having three guides and myself that have taken Desert Bighorn Sheep with a bow. All of our sheep hunts have a minimum of three guides per hunter, plus camp cook and good camp. We will be there for days. It's not whether we get a sheep....it's that we want the biggest sheep in the unit!
Small Game and Predator Calling: Our small game and predator calling hunts are especially designed for introducing our youth to the sport of hunting and getting them out of town and their video games to show them what Grandpa did when he was their age. This gives them the opportunity to feel the thrill of the pursuit and success. This is also an option for all hunters to stay in the field after a successful big game hunt. "Why fly home early?"
